EA's Ghost Studio Takes Control of Need for Speed Franchise.

Speaking to studio head Marcus Nilsson explained that the brand “needs continuity” in order to maintain its identity._ Need For Speed

"It cannot go from black to white between Black Box and Criterion, and that's why we're now thinking about the brand as Ghost owns it,” Nilsson said. “We're going to build it, we're going to build it on Frostbite 3, [and] people will see something they are familiar with every time we release the game. And I think that is the core basis of building a brand; that people know what to expect."

Nilsson explained that Need for Speed -- which shifted hands from Black Box (Need for Speed: The Run) to Criterion (Need for Speed Most Wanted) and now to Ghost (Need for Speed Rivals) -- “loses credibility” as a result of not remaining consistent.

EA has finally clarified that .Need For Speed Rivals will be released on November 19th for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and has been confirmed as a launch title for both Xbo One and Play Station 4 .

1) Personalisation is back :-

Personalization is a key feature . When you’re playing in an open world where you can seamlessly run into your friends, it’s important to make your car standout.

In Rivals, you are allowed to personalize your car in a couple different ways. The first is how it looks as you can choose from millions of different colors, rims, decals, license plates and liversies. The second is through performance where you can upgrade your car in five different categories – Top Speed, Acceleration, Control, Strength and Durability. This is done through level upgrades and not individual car parts because you’re already driving the fastest, supercars in the world like Ferrari. And the third is with tech. In Rivals, you can pick which evasive tech best suits your playing style, whether its spike strips, jammers or turbo. You have two slots for your tech and seven options to choose from as a racer .

2) All Drive:-

This revolutionary new feature lets you seamlessly join a world where your friends

 are already racing and chasing. Single-player and multiplayer are no 

longer isolated game modes. There are no lobbies,no waiting; everything is seamless. 

You and your friends can all share the same game, same race and same chase. 

Paths cross and experiences merge: imagine your race and your friend’s pursuit colliding 

creating a world where no two events will ever feel the same. Don’t want to play with 

others? Then simply choose to make Redview County yours alone and dominate the 

advanced racing and cop AI.
